In collaboration with the prestigious and legendary Royal Automobile Club, this striking Bold chess set features Purling Boxwood chess pieces – hand-carved and painted with several coats of silky matt paint in The Royal Automobile Club's brand colours – Rotunda Blue and Emancipation Red. Triple-weighted, the pieces are completed with Nappa leather base felts featuring The Purling logo embossed in 18 carat gold, giving a satisfyingly confident and reassuring hand-feel.
The chess pieces are paired with a chessboard, hand-cut from European Birchwood ply and prepared to deliver a smooth playing surface. The chessboard is digitally printed and hand-painted in The Royal Automobile Club's brand colours and features the Club's logo on the playing surface.
The chessboard measures 55cm x 55cm x 1.1 cm and the chess pieces range in height from 5cm & 10.2cm.
