I’ve always enjoyed working with interesting items and materials. The chance to design a chess set really appealed, in terms of how I relay my style and ideas into a functioning board. Duality of an item is exciting for me especially if a canvas had a previous use (many of my canvases are industrial throughout). The premise of the design is dual purpose, to sit as a painting hung on a wall, or used as a playing chess set. My vision was to create and scream attention through my raw and refined contrasting and pop Maximalism. - Lhouette
